We are authorized by the CIEP (International Center for Educational Studies) and the CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to provide internationally recognized certifications for French. We propose a number of exam sessions throughout the academic year.

We are an authorized testing center for the Delf (Diplôme d’études de langue française /French-language studies diploma, the Dalf (Diplôme approfondi de langue française/ Advanced French-language diploma, the TEF (Test d’Evaluation de Français) and the TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) for students, professionals, for applications for French nationality, for migration to Canada and or Quebec and to any other non-Francophone person that would like to attest to their level of French proficiency with an internationally recognized certificate.

French Proficiency Test for the French Citizenship Application

Intended audience: candidates for the acquisition of French citizenship through marriage or naturalization.

Offered since January 2012, the TCF for the French citizenship application (TCF ANF) has been specifically designed to respond to the new measures introduced by the French Ministry of the Interior (decree 2011-1265 of 11 October 2011) which sets the B1 level (tests for oral comprehension and expression ) as the level of French proficiency required for applicants for French citizenship.

Intended audience: Anyone that, for personal, academic or professional reasons, wants to have their competency in French assessed and certified reliably and by means of a recognized test. 

A B2 level on the TCF test is required for acceptance into a French university.


(Test de Connaissance du Français pour la Demande d'Admission Préalable)

(French Proficiency Test for the Preliminary Admissions Application)

Intended audience: If you would like to register, in France, for the first year of the ‘licence’ degree (L1) or in a school of architecture and you do not possess a DELF B2 or the DALF, you must take the “TCF spécifique” for the preliminary admissions application called the “TCF for the DAP”.

This TCF is offered by the university only once per year, during the month of February. ​For further information you must go to the Université de Savoie Mont-Blanc administrative offices on the Rue Marcoz in Chambéry where you can request the ‘dossier vert’ (green file).


(Diplôme d'Etudes de la Langue Française/Diplôme d'Aptitude en Langue Française)

French-language studies diploma/ Advanced French-language diploma

Intended audience: Anyone wishing to assess their knowledge of the French language either for personal or professional reasons.

The DELF and the DALF are official diplomas issued by the French Ministry of Education, to certify the French proficiency of foreign candidates and French citizens coming from non-Francophone countries and who do not possess a secondary or higher education diploma validated by the French government. The DELF is comprised of 4 distinct diplomas, which correspond to the four levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

TCF Québec

(French Proficiency Test for immigration to Quebec)

Intended audience: anyone, regardless of their nationality or native language, who wishes to begin the application process with the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion to obtain permanent residency in Quebec.

The TCF for Quebec has been developed to meet the requirements of the authorities of Quebec that have made the passing of an French proficiency exam obligatory and systematic as part of their procedures to obtain a selection certificate for Quebec (CSQ) which leads to the issuance of a permanent visa. French citizens as well as other French speakers are also affected by this measure.

TEF Canada

Intended Audience: Anyone wishing to migrate to Canada or requesting Canadian citizenship.

 The TEF Canada is an obligatory test within the framework of the economic immigration programs that necessitate proof of language proficiency, as required by Canadian Citizenship and Immigration.

The TEF Canada is also essential proof of French language proficiency for obtaining Canadian citizenship.
